note Policy

Purpose

The JIME Center note magazine publishes long-form essays, field notes and columns by JIME Center researchers on the Japanese platform note. It offers a less formal complement to academic publication, allowing researchers to share their perspectives and field insights. Content is primarily in Japanese.

Editorial standards

Each article is reviewed internally before publication. While contributions are written under the researcher's own name, they are understood as an extension of each researcher's work at the Centre rather than as purely personal commentary.

Paid content

Articles are published free of charge as a general rule. Some special feature articles may use note's paid-content feature.
