Iran (economic and energy)

I studied modern and contemporary Iranian history in graduate school, and after completing two years of study in Iran, I have been involved in education, translation, and writing in Iran as a freelancer for over four years.
For me, thinking about Iran is about contemplating what a nation, religion, history, and humanity are. The more I learn, the more Iran raises universal questions about Japan and the world.
Currently, Iran is considered a country based on Shia Islamic doctrine, but before the revolution in 1979, there was an era aimed at becoming a secular modern state, and if we look further back in history, there were also periods dominated by Sunni Islam and ancient Persia, which practiced Zoroastrianism.
The advanced scholarship, rich literature, and art that have been cultivated in such contexts have become the foundation of national pride and identity for contemporary Iranians. I believe this multilayered history and proud national character have a significant impact on the politics, economy, and society of modern Iran.
At JIME Center, I strive for accurate and in-depth analysis of Iran's economic and energy policies, utilizing insights like those above.
