Agents behind U.S. attacks must be brought to justice: Official
New York, Sept 29, IRNA -- Iran's Permanent Represetative to the
United Nations Hadi Nejad Hosseinian said Saturday the main agents
behind the suicide attacks on the United States should be brought to
justice dding that no country would oppose such anti-terrorism move.
Speaking to IRNA, Nejad Hosseinian said now there are differences
among states on the modalities of dealing with the terrorism in the
long run. He said all the top-level authorities of Iran have condemned
the attacks on the United States and expressed sympathy with the
survivors of the victims.
He said terrorism is a global problem which poses threat to
the peace, peaceful co-existance of people, freedom and global
culture.
He said all the countries should cooperate to eradicate terrorism
while adding that to do so one should try first to identify the root
causes of this ominous phenomenon.
He went on to say that Iran based on its Islamic beliefs would
spare no efforts to eradicate terrorism.
Now all the world countries are determined to effectively fight
against terrorism, he said but added that the anti-terrorism campaign
should be defined throughout the international institutions.
He stated that the United Nations as the only comprehensive
institution that could guarantee the peace and stability on the
international arena and all the countries are its members is
competent to lead the anti-terrorism efforts.
Any decision-making or agreements between the states out of the
framework of the United Nations may result in division between the
countries and this may even compound the current problem, he noted.
Nejad Hosseinian warned against any hasty action that could give
rise to the tension and further drawbacks.
He said the Zionists who have been involved in crimes against the
innocent people in the Middle East may now take advantage of the
current situation and bring the West and the Muslim World to a
destructive feud.
