  RIYADH, SEPT 29 (KUNA) -- SAUDI ARABIA DENIED IN PRESS REPORTS PUBLISHED
  SATURDAY THAT IT WAS A LAUNCH PAD FOR MILITARY STRIKES AGAINST AFGHANISTAN.
  A SENIOR MILITARY OFFICIAL, IN REMARKS TO DAILY OKAZ NEWSPAPER, BRUSHED
  ASIDE MEDIA REPORTS SUGGESTING THAT SAUDI ARABIA ALLOWED U.S. WARPLANES TO USE
  PRINCE SULTAN AIR BASE, IN SOUTHERN RIYADH, TO STRIKE AFGHANISTAN.
  HE SAID SAUDI ARABIA WAS COMMITTED WITH INTERNATIONALLY-RECOGNIZED AIRWAYS,
  NOTING THAT SAUDI FORCES WERE ON NORMAL STATUS NOT ON ALERT.
  NEWS REPORTS SAID SAUDI ARABIA WOULD ALLOW AMERICAN JETS TO USE ITS LANDS
