Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman has received a verbal message from The Emir of
Qatar HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, connected with the close relations

an audience with Sultan Qaboos at Al-Alam Palace here

relations between Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman.

evacuated after bomb threat
Kuwait, Sept 25 (qna) - The
Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) was forced to evacuate Tuesday for the second time
this week because of a bomb threat.
Some 200 employees evacuated the building and the premises were searched
by Kuwait emergency response bomb squad said a KUNA reporter.
A bomb threat earlier
this week to KUNA also forced an evacuation and search. Several schools in the
Gulf state were also evacuated this week and searched because of bomb threats
called into them.
Kuwaiti security forces were
put on high alert following the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United
States.

Saudi Arabia cuts
ties with Afghanistan's taliban
DUBAI, Sept 25 (qna)- Saudi
Arabia said today it has cut all relations with Afghanistan's ruling Taliban
movement for continuing to harbour "terrorists".
"Because the Taliban
government did not pay attention to all the contacts and attempts made by the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to persuade it to stop harbouring criminals and
terrorists...,the government of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia announces cutting
off all its relations with the Taliban government," an official Saudi statement
said.
Saudi arabia was one of three countries
that recognized the government of the taliban. the other two are the uae and
pakistan.
the uae cut off its ties
with the taliban on sunday.
pakistan said it withdrew
its diplomats from kabul yesterday.

Emir of Kuwait
condition said to be improving
Kuwait, Sept 25 (qna) - Kuwait's
Health Minister Dr. Mohammad al-Jarallah assured Kuwaitis about the health
condition of the Emir of Kuwait.
He told Kuwait Television from
London: "As usual, the Emir's doctors met today (Tuesday) in the morning,
reviewed all routine medical tests and all signs were normal and perfect...His
condition is in continuous improvement."
He said the Emir was moved
out of intensive care and that he was not expected to undergo any surgical
procedures.
He stressed that Sheikh Jaber was alert
and out of danger.
