The Algerian Representative at the UN
Condemns the Terrorist Attacks and Calls for a Global and Concerted
Riposte |
 Algerian, through its permanent representative before the
Organisation of United Nations (UN), Abdellah Baali, reiterated its
condemnation of the terrorist attacks perpetrated against the United
States, and called for a global and concerted riposte. "Algeria,
which has always called for a real and reinforced co-operation
between the member states and which is facing terrorism alone, would
not but bring its full co-operation to the international efforts
aiming at eradicating this plague, the Algerian diplomat declared
Thursday in New York before the meeting of the 2nd high levelled
dialogue on the reinforcement of international co-operation for
development through partnership.
"I want, first of all, to express all the pain and
all the horror we are feeling in Algeria following the terrible
attacks of which New York and Washington were the object, our
energetic condemnation of these acts and the immense sympathy we
have for the people and the government as well as for the victims'
families that are facing the adversity with courage and dignity",
the Algerian representative also declared.
"These ignominious crimes are reinforcing our
conviction that terrorism is a global threat that is calling all of
us and that requires a riposte which, to be more efficient, should
be global and concerted", the Algerian ambassador pleaded.
