A book on the French army's torture in Algeria by Raphaëlle Branche, written as part of her PhD thesis, has just been published, arousing a lot of interest given the unprecedented revelations and archive documents that the author, a young historian, has reported in her work. This book represents a non-negligible contribution given that she had access to neglected or unknown sources up until now.
