Israeli occupation army kills more Palestinians despite cease-fire

Occupied Jerusalem: 18 September, 2001 (IAP News)- Israeli occupation troops on Tuesday killed two more Palestinian civilians despite a unilateral cease-fire declared two days ago by Palestinian
Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat.

Palestinian sources reported that Israeli occupation soldiers manning a roadblock outside Nablus, in the West Bank, killed a Palestinian farmer who
was driving his tractor at the village of Bazarya.

Eyewitnesses said the Zionists killed the man as he was driving to his farm.

"They just shot him and asked no questions, this is an act of murder."

An Israeli occupation spokesman said the farmer, identified as Mua'ataz Daghlas, 25, was shot after he failed to heed orders to stop.

Another Palestinian was also seriously injured in the incident.

In al-Khalil, Israeli troops stationed on strategic rooftops strafed city center with machinegun fire, killing 30-year-old Ismael al-Dawada, of the
nearby town of Halhul.

Al-Dawada, a taxi driver, was apparently killed while sitting inside his yellow cab.

In addition, four more Palestinians were injured, one of them a woman who lost one of her two eyes.

The apartheid Israeli regime has stepped up its repression of Palestinians since the 11 September suicide plane-attacks in the United States, taking
advantage of the world's preoccupation with the tragic events.

At least 25 Palestinians have been killed and a hundred injured by Israeli occupation gunfire since 11 September.

Most of the victims were civilians, including children.

"These attacks are not something that Palestinians can celebrate. On the contrary, most Palestinians had a powerful and spontaneous reaction of disgust at the bombings and empathy with the people who suffered from the attacks. They know exactly what it feels like to be a civilian population under attack." - Sept 18th Andrew Clarno, an American in Gaza)
