  Contact: Hussein Ibish -- (202) -438-7297

Washington, DC, Sept. 11 -- The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) today condemned the horrifying series of attacks on the World Trade Center towers in New York and government buildings including the Pentagon in Washington DC. Arab Americans, like all Americans, are shocked and angered by such brutality, and we share all the emotions of our fellow citizens. Arab Americans view these attacks as targeting all Americans without exception.

No information is available as to what individuals or organizations might be responsible for these attacks. No matter who is responsible, ADC condemns these actions in the strongest possible terms. ADC urges the public and the media to proceed with caution and to resist rushes to judgement.
