Abu Dhabi, Sept.12, 2001 (WAM) -- A major UAE Arabic daily today condemned the terrorist attack on America, and described terrorism as evil, which should be abhorred by all. +Terrorism means evil, terrorism is an instrument of destruction, which affects the human heart and fills it with hatred for everything that is beautiful, making the heart to believe that death is a symbol of its strength and supremacy and the liquidation of others is the only way to its survival,+ commented the Abu Dhabi-based +Al Ittihad+. The paper said that based on this wrong belief, the forces of evil today take destruction of lives and properties as means of achieving their goals, which, in both religious and humanity context, had been strongly condemned. The paper stressed that the huge destruction of American lives and properties, which the whole world saw yesterday on TV screens was another form of terrorism, which could only be committed by people whose human values had sunk so low, reaching a level of total collapse. +What happened yesterday on the American soil is another form of behaviour of those human beings who lost their sanity and guidance and become wild to the extent of baring their fangs, which fumed evil,+ the paper said, adding +This is terrorism. This is a human destruction abhorred and warned against by all monotheist religions, which call for tolerance and love for the sake of humanity at large, and not for the sake of a particular group or country.+ The paper said that terrorism has just one meaning, it means evil, which no country can boast of being safe from because hatred is a dangerous disease, as such it is the obligation of all peoples of the world to unite to fight against terrorism where ever it is found and wherever is its source. + +By becoming a terrorist target today, it does not mean the United States should be left alone to fight terrorism because terrorism is the work of Satan. As such, humanity at large must unite and cooperate to uproot its roots, by looking into its causes and motives so that it can be cured and dealt with successfully,+ the paper said, adding +All these must be done for the sake of a happy humanity, fully cured from the evil of hatred.+ The paper said that it has now become very necessary more than ever before for all peoples of the world to unite to fight all forms of terrorism, so as to totally eradicate this dangerous cancerous disease.
